Stimulus Package - Denver Metro Area


Included in the stimulus package is a $8,000 tax credit for first time home buyers. This $8,000 will not have to be paid back and is not considered a temporary loan. Included in the stimulus package are several items that the National Association of Realtors has been working on to improve home sales, terms/conditions of loans, and overall improvement of distressed properties. Winter has offically arrived and the Denver market is about to explode!  Thanks to the media, many of us have had a skewed impression of what is actually going on in the Denver market.   Here are some things that you should know about and why NOW is the time to gear up and get ready to Sell, Buy, and Invest:

Fall is finally here! Remember basic home maintenance for the fall:
  1. Service Furnace
  2. Add Weather Stripping if needed
  3. Clean out gutters
  4. Winterize Sprinklers!

And promise me that you will rake the biggest pile of leaves and jump in!

VERY IMPORTANT: If you are thinking about selling in the spring........you need to get ready NOW! There have been a lot of people waiting to see what happens to the real estate market and they can't wait any longer...they need to move!! I forsee a lot of new listings in the first quarter of next year. If you are not prepared and ready, you will get lost in the inventory. There are key things to be doing now in order to get Under Contract faster, quicker, and for a higher price.

What did she say?? Did she say it's a good time to sell your home? YES I DID!!! Forget what you've heard on the news from the "national media" and forget what you hear about the "Denver Metro Area"!! Your specific neighborhood could be what every buyer is trying to find right now! I have worked with over a dozen buyers who have written over 4 offers each trying to find the right home. They are starving out there!! Besides a lot of junk and homes that need a lot of work, there is nothing that a buyer can move right into for a good price. Most buyers want a decent home in excellent condition and there's no inventory for them to choose from. Where have we been looking??
